I am Alejandro Mateus, a Computer Science major at the University of Florida, expecting to graduate in May 2027 with a GPA of 3.58/4.00. I have developed a solid technical foundation, with proficiencies in various programming languages and frameworks, including C++, Python, Java, and React. My projects demonstrate my skills in creating innovative applications, such as the AI-powered Convo-Coach web app for interview feedback, a personal portfolio website, and a song recommendation program using the Spotify API. I actively engage in leadership roles, serving as the UX/UI Director for the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers and founding Suits4Swimmers, a non-profit organization that provides swimming equipment to underprivileged youth in Colombia. Additionally, I am dedicated to enhancing user experiences and web designs, as shown by my successful redesign of the SHPE UF Chapter website. I am fluent in English and Spanish and have a strong interest in Artificial Intelligence, web development, and open-source contributions.
